What to wear on a city break

As you will soon find out from a post coming up in the next few weeks, I've recently been to Barcelona. It was a quick weekend getaway (Friday through till Sunday) and my biggest struggle was packing the right amount. I didn't want to be hauling a massive suitcase with me unnecessarily, but I really didn't want to be left without an outfit for whatever occasion came along, whether it was sightseeing, a walk on the beach or going out to dinner. Therefore, I've put together I quick guide for you as to some of the items I took, and what I think are perfect items for a spring, city break that can be styled up or down! 1. River Island, £40 I love skinny jeans, because they literally go with everything! These jeans are slightly stretchy and I find are super comfy to wear all day and walk around in. But because of the dark colour, they also work if you wanna dress up a little bit, paired with heels or cute flats and a nice top.

2. River Island, £42.00 This second pair of jeans are a lot more casual. I always take two pairs of jeans as I find they can transform any outfit. Even if you wear the same top every day, swapping your jeans makes your outfit look so different! These also give off a more summery vibe, so at great if the weather suddenly gets a bit warmer!

3. Superga, £55.00 I absolutely adore these trainers. They are so cute and the silver adds a pop of colour to any outfit. They work well with basically everything. I love them because they go with both skinny and slightly baggy jeans, as well as shorts, dungarees and dresses! They are also so comfy too and aren't that big - so will definiately fit in your suitcase if you're tight for space!

4. Topshop, £49.00 These style of jackets are so in right now, and look so cool! They also come in so many different colours, so you can pick whichever you like, or whichever one complements your outfits the most! The stripy pattern on the sleeves and inside adds a super cute detail, and the overall look of these are just so lovely, especially paired with some cute skinny jeans. Because they're essentially raincoats the jackets are perfect to take on a weekend away if the weather is a bit unpredictable, and they can be pulled on over a jumper to add a bit of warm if there's a bit of a sea breeze, or to shelter you from any unexpected rain.

5. Accessorize, £39.00 I absolutely adore this bag! Im in love with the colour, and the cue little gold buttons and detailings where the straps go. The bag is perfect for carrying on your shoulder, or also comes with a longer strap so you can wear this across your body. It has two main compartments, which is something I always look for in a bag, as I love to organise and separate out all my things. Although backpacks are good if you are walking a lot, I preferred having a bag like this as I kept it in front of me at all times, to ensure everything was safe inside - especially in a crowded area.

These were just a few ideas of what I often take with me on a city break away! I hope you enjoyed this post and be sure to check out our Insta, twitter and Pinterest! Xxx
