So a few months back, I went to such a beautiful city - Vienna! We did loads of things, but one of my fave outings was to the Prater amusement park in Vienna, so today I thought I'd do a kind of overview/ travel diary kinda thing about the day.

The great thing about the amusement park is that it has 2 different train stations right next to it. This made it super easy to get there. As the trains are so much less busy than in London, we used the train and underground and it was actually such a pleasant journey. We then got off the station and literally had to walk for 1 minute (you literally just cross the road) and then we were right at the Prater.

I thought it was so good that you didn't have to pay any entrance fee, but instead you just paid for the individual rides you went on, and I loved this cause it means you're not paying a huge sum of money if you end up going on only a couple of rides, and so if you find that you suddenly would rather not go on rides, you haven't really wasted any money.

There's also quite a few good places to eat too. We went to a little stall where they sold huge individual pizza slices and kebabs, so I got a pizza which was actually so tasty, and then we walked round having a look at the rides whilst we walked. (I realised after I ate that I probs shouldn't have had a huge pizza slice right before going on rollercoasters, but oh well!)

We then started going on rides, and me being the person I am, decided to go straight for the big rides! My favourite ride was this one where you sit in an individual seat in a sort of circle with other people, attached to a pole, and then you get swung from side to side after being turned upside down. Clearly i'm not very good at describing rides so its probably easier if you check out the rides on youtube or something!

One of the other rides that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going on is the carousel which I think is the highest carousel either in Europe or in the world (but I'm not entirely sure.) Anyway it is AMAZING! I did get scared at first because you go so so so high up, and I'm sorta scared of heights, however, you can see so much of Vienna and the view is amazing, so it's definitely worth going on, especially for just 5€!

The Prater park also has a sort of old-style feel to it, which I absolutely loved and which gives the whole experience something a little extra!

I hope this was useful if you ever plan on visiting Austria, or encourages you to go visit the amusement park one day!
