If you're looking for a bit of colour or subtle spring colours to liven up your look, then these nail varnishes will be perfect for you! 1. O.P.I in Italian Love Affair You will probably see a bit of a theme running with the types of colours I love, but the first one of my favourite nail varnishes is this pale pink. I bought this on holiday - so it was a lot cheaper than buying in the UK - but it's super pretty. The colour is a sort of nude/pale pink, and the nail polish has a thinnish formula, so make sure you apply 2 coats for a stronger tone.

2. Barry M, £3.99
Matte nails are SO in right now, and I love the trend. This pinkish grey nail varnish is so pretty, because it has a really subtle purplish undertone. Again, I apply two layers for a good pigment. The only issue with matte nail varnishes is that you can't apply your average top coat, as the matte effect will go all shined, but that leads me onto my third nail varnish!

I found this in Boots the other day, and immediately had to buy it! I love Maybelline products anyway, but this matte top coat is so good! It's so convenient as it can be used to seal any matte nail varnish you've used, as well as turning any normal nail polish matte, so you don't have to go out buying more matte products!

Following the grey trend, this nail varnish is super cute. The colour goes well with literally any outfit, and adds little detail to both weekend and weekday outfits!

5. Misguided, £5.00 This dark red looks super cool! It is a very deep reddish/brownish colour and looks so elegant and pretty! Also, by leaving a really tiny line of nail on each side unpainted, it gives the illusion of long nails - which goes so well with this colour!

I hope you found this useful, and a helpful way to ease into the matte nail varnish trend if you want to get into it!
